The Insulation
Contractors Association of Australia (TICA) has over 25 years experience
in assisting, advising , and representing members who are engaged
in the thermal insulation and encapsulation industry.
TICA members specialise in all aspects of the thermal insulation
industry.
One of the major aims of the Association is to raise technical standards
within the industry and to promote the benefits of engaging highly
qualified and experienced contractors. The development of our Thermal
Insulation Specification Guide is testament to our commitment to
improve industry standards.
Investment in modern equipment and including the use of up-to-date
techniques ensures that all the work of our members is carried out
efficiently.
Active involvement in the thermal insulation of Victoria's most
important projects has established TICA members as leaders in their
field, recognised widely for their skills, knowledge and professionalism.
Our members activities encompass hot, cold and acoustic insulation,
using plaster, mattress, boards, spray and foam applications - a
complete service.
The variety and extent of our members' work has resulted in an accumulation
of knowledge and skills that stretches across the borders of practically
all disciplines. According to application, asbestos-free insulating
materials such as rock wools, mineral wools, fibreglass and urethane
are employed as insulating media.
Our members serve all facets of the commercial and industrial insulation
industry by furnishing and installing insulation for piping, ductwork
and equipment in plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning;
and in industrial systems for piping, tanks, ductwork and process
equipment.
Our members use technologically advanced estimating systems available
to contractors today which quickly and efficiently produces accurate
estimates. And with their combined experience in the business, comes
invaluable practical knowledge of the industry standards and practices
that will provide the best materials and application methods for
each and every system, situation or need.
